Alien

I hold the earth in the palm of my hand
As I hold it with gracious melody
It greets me with a lust for everything that I am
There is harmony here, and peace
And there is agony and some are weak
I must tell you of all there is to have
There is green and blue
Close are the pearls of wisdom that possess the desert sands
That drift and trickle into nightfall
Through the clenched fist of my hand
If we hurt humans, they will cry...
Is their happiness worth our justice
Does this earth really belong among us

Someone take this earth
For no one could put a price on it's worth
I give you plains
And I give you oceans
And I give you living creatures
I give you integrity, and I give you time
My darling, I give you earth
To prove you my love
To prove my worth
