Sun Moon Shifter

And at the moment I drew in a deep breath and laughed
My mind wrought with all pale moments passed
The thundering giddy of a cymbal softly crashing
And I begged with renewed frenzy to know the jungled path that was passing
What pale moon glitters upon my brow, upon my face and dribbles down my chin
What soon grown into a fit, first fighting then riding the waves and laughing
Until I tumbled over again
And the bridge toppled over better...
When the chains cut loose and let her
What was it that my soul asked to savor... savor in pity as though a bird caged
I grew smaller then bigger...
I knew the beast that leapt up and bit her
Gently bruising the man who laid
Courageously letting out an echo
Heard throughout all eternity for all of time and a day
And what sun-moon shifter laid its hands upon my foot that blistered?
I once knew of a drifter that lived life this way
So I opened my cage and ushered in the unfathomable feelings
Until they filled in the hole, until they exploded and scattered
Into a thousand images before my eyes quickly passing away,
A thousand dreams come and gone all wanting to become ever-lasting and one
Right now, everyday
And happily,
I fell into a clock tower chiming the hour that fell into a turtle
But when I awoke I was no longer a mortal
But a portal on a ship forever sailing
On the foot of a spirit forever dwelling
On the lips of a mouth forever telling
The children to play
