The Pulpit and the Grass

My peace is known as the hunter and its prey
My wisdom is known at the pulpit
And within the gray masses huddled together in the grass
Searching for shelter from the fear of the day
Shining in the brightness of day, or the darkness of night
My Divinity is within the criminal and the jailor
In the captain and the sailor
Such is The Way
Without herald to knowing a wrong or a right

Hark you to my flesh, to my sword, to my robe's tassels
My finger is known only to your caress,
Known only to my Lord, known only within my castles?
To my eyes and ears are known to every rejoice of every choice ever made
From the eye of the eagle,
To within my lungs pulsating breath
All is known, and what is known is no death
Celebration and devastation
Blasphemy and praise
Evil with good
Throughout the glory of God, All Is, All; and All Is Good
Whether in weakness or in bravery
Whether in male or in female
Whether in black or in white
Or left or in right,
In hero or in villain,
To hurt the least of Me is to hurt the Most of Me
In any action there is only love,
And in love there is only action
In peace there is only praise
And in praise there is only peace, only laughing
In joy as warm as the stars,
In stars as warm as the joy
There are no true scars, but there is Life forever more
Forever a love in love with that love and forever The Way.
Amen
